Join us every Wednesday during Summer Reading for science activities!

This week we'll be making Hoop Gliders and learning about aerodynamics. We'll have contests for the fastest glider, the longest glider, and the highest glider!

Hey kids! Read to one of the dogs and have fun while improving your reading skills! Therapy dogs love to have books read to them. They never criticize your reading skills and will often give kisses to show appreciation. Come read to ChiChi, Mija, or Johnny - they love stories!

Bilingual Family Storytime / Hora de Cuentos Familiar Bilingüe

Se presenta en español y en inglés. La hora de cuentos familiar bilingüe es una experiencia educativa en los dos idiomas para niños bilingües y monolingües de todas edades.

Presented in Spanish and English. Bilingual family storytime is a learning experience in both languages for bilingual and monolingual children of all ages.

Advanced English Language Conversation Class / Clases de Conversación de Inglés avanzadas

Practice your English conversation skills with trained, volunteer tutors from Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a program of Literacy Connects. Classes may include some reading and writing to stimulate discussion. Call 594-5420 to inquire.

Healthy Living: Managing Ongoing Health Conditions

Developed by Stanford University, this free workshop teaches adults and caregivers to live successfully with on-going health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, heart and lung disease, arthritis, and hypertension.

The workshop teaches management skills through interaction, goal-setting, and action planning.

The workshop consists of 6 sessions, meeting once a week for 2.5 hours. The program is administered by the Pima County Health Department. Space is limited, and registration is required prior to the first session. Participants are expected to attend every meeting.
