Author Presentation
Author: Diana Gabaldon
Award-winning author Diana Gabaldon kicked off her Outlander series in 1991 with the book by the same name. Subsequently, six books have been added to the series (Dragonfly In Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and An Echo In The Bone). The next book in the series, Written In My Own Heart's Blood, will be released in early 2013.
While she says the books are "engineered to stand alone," she still recommends reading them in order of publication. The series is published in 26 countries and 23 languages, and includes a (somewhat) nonfiction (companion volume that provides details on the settings, background, characters, research, and writing of the novels.
The program is presented by the Friends of the Salazar-Ajo Library.
