Hey kids, do you love building things with Legos? If you do, join our Lego Club at the Kirk-Bear Canyon Library. We supply the Legos and you supply the imagination.

The Lego Club is open for all ages. No registration is required.

Comic Book Project Writing

Presented by Norah Booth.
With the Comic Book Project literacy, creativity and teamwork all come together! Plan, write and design original comic books. In addition to creating art, the Project is about storytelling and reflection on experiences, ideas and communities. All skill levels welcome.

Chess Club

Join us every Sunday in June to play chess and meet some friends. All ages and levels welcome! No experience necessary. Learn how to play chess or how to improve your game. Chessboards will be provided.

Stay and Play

Learn how playing with your child can promote healthy cognitive and emotional development. Our playgroup includes songs, games and play that promote language acquisition, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and intellectual growth. Children, ages 12 months to 36 months, and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play!

Read to a Dog

Hey kids! Read to a therapy dog and have fun while improving your reading skills! The dog loves to have books read to it. It never criticizes your reading skills and will often lick your hand to show her appreciation. It just loves to be read to by children.

Toddler Storytime

Come and hear stories, sing songs, and play learning games with Mr. Bill.

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler Storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Preschool Storytime

Come and hear stories, sing songs, and play learning games with Mr. Bill.

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Sit and Knit

Bring your knitting and join other knitters to share projects and problems. All are welcome.

Designed for babies up to 18 months of age. At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Balance

A six-week exercise program to improve balance, mobility, relieve pain, increase muscle strength, improve immune function, enhance relaxation and improve mental focus. This class is designed to feel safe, comfortable, fun, and inspire well-being. Presented by Heather Chalon, MPH. Bring drinking water. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
