Art in the Afternoon

Presented by the docents of the Tucson Museum of Art, in partnership with Pima County Public Library, join us every 4th Tuesday for monthly illustrated art talks on a variety of topics.

Round-Up of Post-Impressionism: Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec, Cezanne, and Van Gogh - Artists whose short lives and influential works have been lovingly adopted in all forms of popular culture.

Introduction to Computers

In this fun, hands-on course you will learn all the basic computer skills including using the mouse and keyboard, working in Microsoft Windows, using Microsoft Word, surfing the Internet and using e-mail. This course is ideal for someone who has a little experience with the computer but wants to know more.
Note: If you have never touched a computer or keyboard before, you may benefit from attending our Meet the Computer course prior to Introduction to Computers.

Session 3 of 6. Class is limited to seven (7) students. To register, please call 520-594-5345 starting Thursday, June 6th.

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Take a voyage to the center of the Earth! We'll investigate the powerful processes that shape our planet and form remarkable rocks, magnificent minerals and glittering gems.

Read to a Dog

Hey kids! Read to one of the dogs and have fun while improving your reading skills! Therapy dogs love to have books read to them. They never criticize your reading skills and will often lick your hand to show appreciation. They just love to be read to by children.

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.
