Rainbow Magic Fairies Book Club

A book club for fairy lovers! We will meet once a month to explore a different book in the Rainbow Magic Series by Daisy Meadows. This program is for ages 5 - 10.

Valencia Chess Club

Chess anyone? Come to the library and play! Any level of experience, all ages and beginners are welcome. No registration required.

Join us every Tuesday to play chess. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm and good sportsmanship. All ages are welcome.

Every Tuesday we offer video games, board games, and fun for all ages. Come see what we have, or you can bring a PS3 or Wii game of your own share. Want a retro experience? We have an old Xbox console to play on too.

Read To a Dog!

Come and read for fun to a licensed therapy dog.

The dog creates a very low stress environment for children who are learning or having difficulties learning to read. As the child reads aloud, the dog listens and enjoys the story and never corrects the child.

The dog just loves what the child is doing! A loving, low-stress time for children to read is often extremely helpful in learning to read.

One-on-One Help

At this drop-in session for all ages, get one-on-one assistance with a wide range of questions, including topics such as Job Help, eReaders, computers, and using the library's online resources, all at your own pace!

Bilingual Storytime

Designed for children and their parents or caregivers. We will read stories, sing and do a craft to take home.

Visit the Bookbike at Armory Park Senior Center, 220 S. 5th Avenue on the 4th Wednesday of the month.

Babytime

Designed for babies up to 18 months of age. At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.

Toddler Storytime

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. tories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Quiet Zone / La Zona de Silencio

We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

La Zona de Silencio está reservada para clientes de la Biblioteca quienes están leyendo, estudiando, conduciendo investigaciónes u otras actividades sin ruido.

Preschool Storytime

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.
