It's Your Money

In our “It’s Your Money” program we teach attendees: to identify financial sales people and their motivation, to understand the financial planning process (net worth, budget, taxes, goals and objectives, projections, inflation, investments), equity and fixed income investing, the importance for the professional advisor to be a fiduciary, how a Charitable Gift Annuity is different than a commercial annuity, etc. We also discuss scams directed toward seniors, including those involving charity. The biggest fear for seniors is running out of money. Therefore, we encourage all attendees to “run the numbers” so that they feel confident and comfortable when gifting to family and to charity.

Our goal is to produce an environment where a sophisticated, knowledgeable and experienced individual will feel comfortable inviting their parents or their successor trustees to the workshop series for the pure educational content. The workshops can be the catalyst for open dialogue among family members to communicate their most important desires. Consequently, no solicitation or selling is allowed. Speakers will not access the contact information of the audience. For-profit sponsors are not allowed to participate.
Rules: No commercial or for-profit sponsors. No speaker will receive attendee’s name, address or phone number. No financial or insurance product will be sold. No charity will solicit you for donation.
