Essentials of Fundraising

Tuesday, September 10, 2013 8:30am - 11:30am

The Southern Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is offering a series of three-hour workshops called the Essentials of Fundraising. These workshops are designed to provide comprehensive introductory-level training on fundraising theory and practice.

The Essentials curriculum was developed by experienced fundraising professionals and is presented across the country to meet the real-world needs and challenges that non-profit organizations and fundraisers face every day. The series will be offered as part of AFPs mission to provide quality training that is rooted in best practices and ethical standards to fundraising professionals.

Weaving Ethics into Fundraising (NO CHARGE! FREE TO ATTEND)
This workshop will review your role of ethics in fundraising and how to create a culture of ethics within your organization by speaking with donors and staff about ethics. You will be given hypothetical case studies to answer key ethical issues and highlight the thinking that goes into ethical considerations. You will also learn about the activities and procedures of the AFP Ethics Committee and how you can receive advice and guidance when an ethical matter arises.
