Understand Philanthropy in Southern Arizona to Support Your Fundraising Goals

Stephanie La Loggia will help us examine the "pie of philanthropy" in Southern Arizona: how much comes from individual donors, grantmaking organizations (foundations and grantmaking public charities) and volunteers.
Among the questions discussed and answered will be:
• What causes are supported?
• How much money stays in Southern Arizona?
• How much comes in from outside the area?
• How much value is added by volunteers?
• How can we grow the pie?
Stephanie will share how this information can be utilized by organizations and fundraising professionals in their work to locate and channel resources toward vital community services and solutions. She will also demonstrate how to use the ASU Lodestar Center’s free Scope of the Sector report to drill down to Pima County giving statistics to inform your fundraising. This presentation is based research conducted by the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.

Stephanie La Loggia is the Manager of Knowledge Resources for the ASU Lodestar Center.
