The Author Talks

The Joel D. Valdez Main Library invites authors to come and talk about their books. We host a variety of exciting authors and topics. Listen, ask questions, and meet the author. The program is free and parking is free on Saturdays.

Gregory McNamee, editor of The Only One Living to Tell: The Autobiography of a Yavapai Indian, by Mike Burns. Gregory McNamee, the editor of Burnsís newly published memoir The Only One Living to Tell and a frequent contributor to Native Peoples magazine, recounts Burnsís life in the context of nineteenth-century Arizona history and the tradition of Native American autobiography alike. A slide show accompanies this talk.
