Now Showing at Your Library! in November – Solar Mamas
Solar Mamas by Jehane Noujaim relates the lives of rural women from Columbia, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, and Kenya as they attend India's Barefoot College to train as solar energy engineers in order to empower them and make their communities sustainable.
This event is shown in partnership with Independent Television Service Community Cinema, PBS Independent Lens, Arizona Public Media, and Pima County Public Library's Now Showing at Your Library documentary film series.
