Quiet Zone / La Zona de Silencio

We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

Now Showing at Your Library! in November – Solar Mamas

Solar Mamas by Jehane Noujaim relates the lives of rural women from Columbia, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, and Kenya as they attend India's Barefoot College to train as solar energy engineers in order to empower them and make their communities sustainable.

This event is shown in partnership with Independent Television Service Community Cinema, PBS Independent Lens, Arizona Public Media, and Pima County Public Library's Now Showing at Your Library documentary film series.

JUMP for Jobs!

Youth, ages 14-21, this series of workshops will help you to develop the skills to land the job you want or to research post-high school educational opportunities.

Skill-building workshops will include career choices, the job search, interviewing, community service project planning, financial planning and much more.

This series is sponsored by Good Neighbor Ventures and the Amphi Community Action Group in partnership with La Paloma Family Services and Pima County Public Library.

Bonus: Attend at least 3 of the 5 workshops at Woods Library and receive a $50 gift card.
