Quilt It! : A beginning quilt workshop for boys and girls
Once a utilitarian skill, modern quilting now combines utility with art. The Quilt It! workshop project is a simple, but effective way for boys and girls to learn basic quilting skills. Elementary skills are taught, so that all work can be completed by hand sewing and quilting.
Participants will create their own quilted 12 inch square pillow by attending 4 easy Saturday sessions with volunteer instructors from the Tucson Quilters Guild Education Committee.
Registration limited to participants between 8 and 18 years old. Registration required. Please register online or call 594-5315.

Then join the CreateIT class this fall at Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr. library to check out a variety of ways video is used to inform, entertain and persuade the public. You will have the opportunity to shoot and edit your own short videos and films with the help of career professionals! iTNation Digital Media classes are for all ages! Each week stretch your creativity and learn a fun digital media skill. You may sign up for each class individually or enroll in the entire 5 week series. Classes are taught by high school students who have successfully completed at least 24 hours of training.
In Introduction to Video Editing you'll use digital cameras to record a short video and learn to use basic editing software to polish your video clip. Share your finished product online!
Mouse skills (pointing, clicking, and dragging) and keyboard experience or completion of the Computer Basics class required. Space is limited. Sign up at teh Valencia Branch Library or call 594-5390.

Explore the world of 2D digital animation and audio technology!
We will create finished web accessible animations using Adobe Flash Professional software. Combine this with sound and audio and create your own animated feature. This four-week class begins October 27 and runs through November 17. Registration is open to middle and high school students.
