Play is the natural activity of childhood. It is the way children learn about themselves, about others and about their world. Children ages 8 months to 4 years and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available for questions.

Reading Partners

Reading Partners brings adult and teen volunteers and children together to share their love of reading. Our trained Reading Partners take joy in reading stories one-on-one, or in small groups to your child during your visit to the library. They also welcome your child reading to them.

Reading Partners is generously supported by the Friends of the Pima County Public Library.

Learn how playing with your child can promote healthy cognitive and emotional development. Our playgroup includes songs, games and play that promote language acquisition, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and intellectual growth.

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning. Our combination Babytime + Toddler Storytime is designed for babies up to 18 months of age and infants and children up to 36-months-old. Parents, caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

What's it like to walk from Mexico to Utah? Hiker Terri Gay has spent five years on this journey and will present a virtual tour of this amazing trail. Hear the adventures, learn the history, and get tips on traveling this scenic and challenging state treasure. This program is part of our Fit for Life 50+ series. It is made possible by the Friends of the Pima County Public Library.

Bilingual Family Storytime-Hora de Cuentos

En la hora de cuentos los ninos tendran la oportunidad de realizar actividades que promueven el desarrollo y el aprendizaje. Se presenta en espanol y en ingles. Es una experiencia excelente en los dos idiomas para ninos bilingues y monolingues.

Family Storytime

Family Storytime is for all ages. It is an opportunity for parents to introduce their children to reading and language in a fun way.

Pima Council on Aging Ambassador

An ambassador will be available to provide information and referral service on issues concerning older people, such as housing options, transportation, food, mental health, caregiving, social services and legal aid. Drop by any time during the hours listed.
