Color Basics

Create stunning artwork with artists from the Drawing Studio's OATS program. Instructors in this 6-part series of classes will emphasize that the practice of art is a lifelong exploration. Through doing a series of simple, fun exercises, you will learn the basics of color mixing, how colors work together to create color harmonies, and how to use color for self-expression. This program is presented courtesy of the Friends of the Pima County Library. All supplies are provided at no cost.

Class size is limited. Registration is required prior to the first class. Please call 594-5420 beginning September 13 to register for these classes. You must be available for all six classes.

A New Deal for Artists: Creating Art during the Great Depression

Between the years 1933 and 1945, the Federal government hired hundreds of artists who collectively created more than 100,000 works of art. Some were commissioned to create art for public spaces, depicting specific themes, while others were free to use their imaginations.
University of Arizona Museum of Art Docent Jacquelyn Feller will give this multi-media art talk presentation.
