Skins: The Art of Food

"Skins" is a project, organized by Morgana Cooper, that utilizes the arts to support and enhance the food and gardening movement taking place in Ajo. "Skins" events will be held at the library throughout October. The programs are free and open to all ages.

Skins: Ethnographic Food Mapping

Share your story about where your food comes from. Do you eat traditional foods? Has your diet changed in your culture over time? Participants will learn about where food comes from by creating an ethnographic map -- a map showing the geographic distribution and relationships between the foods of different people and cultures. Come and create imagery of how our food travels from its origin to our dinner tables.
