Stay and Play

Play is the natural activity of childhood. It is the way children learn about themselves, about others and about their world. Children up to 36 months and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available for questions.

Toddler Storytime

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes.

Quiet Zone / La Zona de Silencio

We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

Preschool Storytime

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Babytime

Babytime is designed for babies up to 18 months of age. At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.

At this drop-in session for all ages, get one-on-one assistance with a wide range of questions, including topics such as Job Help, eReaders, computers, and using the library's online resources, all at your own pace!

Elementary Drawing

Presented by Young Rembrandts of Tucson.
Learn drawing, the fundamental skill of all visual arts, using an innovative step-by-step method. All participants will feel successful while creating a masterpiece in a fun, nurturing environment!

Learn to draw this fall break for children ages 4-6. Registration starts September 24, 2012 in person or call 594-5295. Limited to 25 participants. All supplies will be provided

Career Day- Environmental Careers

Presented by Pima County Department of Environmental Quality.

Learn about the many jobs available in the envinronmental field, the reasons why someone might choose an eco-career, the level of education necessary to get into the field, the different areans where they might seek work, and forcus in on what a career with PDEQ Communications Program is like.
