Introduction to the Internet

Demystify the Internet! Learn how to navigate the Internet and use email to keep in touch with your friends and family. Not a lecture, this class is all hands-on learning with a high-speed Internet connection. You will open your own free email account to send and receive email with friends and relatives.

Before taking this course, you should know basic computer skills like how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to turn the computer on and off and a general understanding of the Windows operating system.

Proposal Writing Basics Workshop

This workshop discusses the process of writing a proposal to a private foundation or corporate funder. Learn about the organizational resources required to write a grant proposal as well as the resources offered by the library to help you. The basic elements of a private grant proposal will be discussed.

Preschool Storytime

Preschool Storytime is for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents. Activities help children learn colors, numbers, and letters. This program is 30 to 45 minutes. Children must be able to sit for longer periods than during Toddler Storytime.

Play is the natural activity of childhood. It is the way children learn about themselves, about others and about their world. Children up to 36 months and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available for questions.

Toddler Storytime

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

In this course you will learn valuable word processing skills like creating, saving and retrieving documents; inserting and deleting text; formatting text; and using cut, copy and paste. Free GED Preparation and Tutoring

At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.
