Introduction to the Internet

Demystify the Internet! Learn how to navigate the Internet and use e-mail to keep in touch with your friends and family. Not a lecture, this class is all hands-on learning with a high-speed Internet connection. You will open your own free e-mail account to send and receive e-mail with friends and relatives.

Before taking this course, you should know basic computer skills like how to use a mouse and keyboard, and how to turn the computer on and off.

Session 4 of 6. Registration is open to ten (10) individuals. Please call 594-5365 starting Wednesday, July 18th to register.

Stay and Play

Play is the natural activity of childhood. It is the way children learn about themselves, about others and about their world. Children ages 8 months to 4 years and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available for questions.

Each Toddler Storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long. Storytime begins 1/2 hour before the library opens. This allows us to enjoy our time with the children. Staff will open the door.

Our playgroup includes songs, games and play that promote language acquisition, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and intellectual growth. Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.
