We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

Welcome to the Newly-Remodeled and Expanded Eckstrom-Columbus Library!

The Eckstrom-Columbus Library invites you to enjoy the resources that will serve our community for generations to come.

The library opens today after an eight month closure for renovation. Renamed in 2007, in honor of former Pima County Supervisor Dan Eckstrom, the facility has been updated and expanded.

Creatures of the Night

Presented by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
The desert is the place to be for lively night-life. From bats to kangaroo rats, meet the creatures that wake up once the sun has set.

This program is limited to 40 participants. Tickets will be given out 30 minutes before the program begins.

Basic Music Editing

Learn how easy it is to edit music files with Audacity. Make a ringtone for your cell phone or record a digital story. Mouse skills (pointing, clicking, and dragging) and keyboard experience or completion of the Computer Basics class required.

iTNation Digital Media classes are for all ages! Each week stretch your creativity and learn a fun digital media skill. You may sign up for each class individually or enroll in the entire 5 week series. Classes are taught by high school students who have successfully completed at least 24 hours of training.

Nunchaku Skills for Teens

Like martial arts? Ever wanted to learn how to use nunchaku like a martial arts master? A-Long's Kung Fu Academy will be presenting Nunchaku Skills for Teens this summer!

This fun workshop teaches participants various techniques, spins and rotations while increasing your coordination, focus and body mechanics.

Foam nunchaku are provided for classroom use.
