Microsoft Publisher is a computer-publishing program that helps you easily create, customize and publish newsletters, brochures, flyers and catalogs. In this course you will learn skills like designing page layout, creating master pages, setting design guidelines, creating styles, inserting pages and copying formats.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel
This course teaches Microsoft Excel basics. Excel is a spreadsheet program that helps you manage mathematical information. It is frequently used in today’s workplace. Once you begin to understand the basics, you will find it is an easy and fun application to use. For example, you can use Excel to budget your personal finances and keep track of your investments. You can also use Excel to follow loan repayments, compare different mortgages, create invoices and more.
Prior experience with the computer and an understanding of the Windows operating system is recommended.

Our computer instructor is available to answer any questions you might have on a wide variety of computer topics. Topics include resume writing, online job searching, email accounts, Internet searching and more. Signup is not required.

Free GED Preparation and Tutoring
At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.
Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.
Martha Cooper Branch Library, 1377 N. Catalina Ave. Registration is not required.

EITC / VITA Tax Preparation
IRS-trained volunteers will prepare federal and state income tax returns and counsel clients to make sure that that hard working families claim tax benefits for which they are eligible (EITC). The United Way can submit returns electronically for free.

Free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance serving low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older.
According to the AARP website, the tax help sessions "are the nation's largest, free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service. The program serves low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older."

Microsoft PowerPoint is a software program for creating and showing presentations that include slides, outlines, speaker's notes and audience handouts. In this course designed for beginners, you will learn the fundamentals of PowerPoint. Practice using text, pictures and clip art, and then edit your presentation to make it look professional.
