Introduction to Microsoft Word, Five Part Class

In this course you will learn valuable word processing skills like creating, saving and retrieving documents; inserting and deleting text; formatting text; and using cut, copy and paste. Before you take this course, you should have some experience with the computer and the Windows operating system.

Part 2 of a 5 part class.

Introduction to the Internet

Demystify the Internet! Learn how to navigate the Internet and use email to keep in touch with your friends and family. This class is not a lecture; this class is all hands-on learning with a high-speed Internet connection. You will open your own free email account to send and receive email with friends and relatives.

Before taking this course, you should know basic computer skills like how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to turn the computer on and off and a general understanding of the Windows operating system.

Learn to use Google

Google is a leading search engine that helps you locate information on the Internet. In this course, you will learn about some of the other useful and fun features of Google, including news, maps, videos, calendars and health and financial information.

Video Production: Produce Video Like a Pro

CreateIT - Think IT. Make IT. Do IT. New technology and media classes for teens.

Join us for a 4-week video production class. In a fun and interactive environment we will check out a variety of ways video is used to inform, entertain and persuade the public. You will have the opportunity to shoot and edit short films that you want to make.

This class runs for four Saturdays in February, beginning February 2.

Learning to Meditate

Learn about the benefits of meditation, practice relaxation activities for calming body and mind, and become comfortable meditating in this 4 week class. Instructors: Pat and Joe Ambrosic, meditation practitioners for over 40 years.

Do you have an eReader or PC and are not sure how to borrow digital media from the library? Come in and learn how to use Overdrive (the library's electronic materials system). Please bring your laptop if possible.
