Introduction to the Internet

Demystify the Internet! Learn how to navigate the Internet and use email to keep in touch with your friends and family. Not a lecture, this class is all hands-on learning with a high-speed Internet connection. You will open your own free email account to send and receive email with friends and relatives.

Before taking this course, you should know basic computer skills like how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to turn the computer on and off and a general understanding of the Windows operating system.

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Health-E-Arizona and Health Insurance Marketplace

Do you have questions about the Affordable Care Act and what it means for you and your family? Don’t know if you should sign up for AHCCCS or insurance? A Public Health Nurse from the Pima County Health Department will be available to provide one-on-one assistance in learning about coverage, benefits and services from Health-E-Arizona and the new Health Insurance Marketplace. The nurse will also be assisting customers who are signing up on the Health Care Marketplace website.

Free GED Preparation and Tutoring

At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Pima County Property Tax Freezes, Exemptions and Deferrals
