We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

Origami Cranes
In Japanese culture, paper cranes represent happiness, longevity, and eternal youth because of its life span of a thousand years. They also stand for peace and healing. Come join the Pima County Public Libraries as we make 1,000 paper cranes to send to the C.H. Booth Public Library in Newtown, CT. Drop-in crane-making is also available at Murphy-Wilmot and Main Library.

This free library program will expose participants to easy robotics using LEGO RCX Mindstorms. Build your own robot rover and race it across the surface of the "Moon". All hardware and instruction will be provided by the library. For ages 9-19.
Registration required. Call 594-5200 to register after December 22. (This same workshop will be offered again at 3pm).
