Start your morning off with a peaceful and energizing yoga class! We recommend wearing loose clothes and bringing a yoga mat. This class meets before the building opens, so please knock to be let in.

Quiet Zone / La Zona de Silencio

We are designating a Quiet Zone for those customers who would like an area where they can have a peaceful place for study, contemplation, reflection, productive thinking or to just read, with minimal disturbances.

Digital Media Mini Camp

CreateIT - Think it. Make it. Do it. New technology and media classes for teens.

Join us for a three-day Digital Media Mini Camp with iTNation. Each day stretch your creativity and learn new digital media skills, including photo and video editing, sound production and scratch animation. Classes are taught by high school students who have successfully completed 30 hours of training with the iTNation intern program.

This is a three-day class beginning on January 2 and continuing through January 4. These classes are designed for Middle and High School students.

Linoprinting 101: Create Social Justice Posters

CreateIT! Although linoleum as a floor covering dates to the 1860s, the linocut printing technique was used first by artists between 1905-1913. We will talk about the history of social justice posters and teach youth how to make their own lino prints. We will then have a pop-up gallery show, displaying the works!

Video Production: Produce Video Like a Pro

CreateIT - Think IT. Make IT. Do IT. New technology and media classes for teens.

Join us for a 4-week video production class. In a fun and interactive environment we will check out a variety of ways video is used to inform, entertain and persuade the public. You will have the opportunity to shoot and edit short films that you want to make.

This class runs for four Saturdays in February, beginning February 2.

Join us each week for video games, board games, movies and more! Compete in friendly tournaments for library glory or work together to achieve victory in a wide variety of gaming events. Mexican Pottery Craft

Pottery making is one of the oldest traditions in Mexican culture, and is still the most widespread craft in Mexico.
This program is part of Nuestras Raíces: a celebration of Mexican-American authors, arts and culture. All ages welcome!

Artist Reception

Please join us for an artist reception for Whitney Morton. Morton's paintings are inspired by Shakespeare. The exhibit will run January 2 – 31 2013.
