More Than Free Pizza: How to Maximize Your Success in Securing and Building Upon In-Kind Donations
The thought of calling total strangers to ask for “free” items makes most people cringe. In this presentation we will challenge these fears and empower you with tools to successfully secure in-kind donations for your nonprofit organization. We will discuss how to create a plan, craft a compelling “ask,” research who to ask, improve your odds of success, and ultimately build relationships with those that support your organization.
A librarian will also demonstrate how to use the Foundation Directory Online and the Arizona Guide to Grants Online databases to find potential in-kind donations.
Presented by Heather Hiscox, founder and owner of Seven Degrees Consulting. Heather has been involved with nonprofit, grassroots, educational and research organizations for more than 13 years. Heather has utilized her skills in program development, implementation and evaluation, community organization, fundraising, marketing, communications, strategic planning, grant writing, and event planning to serve numerous nonprofit organizations.
