Reading Partners

Reading Partners brings adult volunteers and children together to share their love of reading. Our trained Reading Partners take joy in reading stories one-on-one to your child during your visit to the library. They also welcome your child reading to them.

Reading Partners is generously supported by the Friends of the Pima County Public Library.

Baby & Toddler Storytime

At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning. Our combination Babytime + Toddler Storytime is designed for babies up to 18 months of age and infants and children up to 36-months-old. Parents, caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Marana Mysteries & More Book Club

Join fellow mystery fans in a discussion of this month's selection and choose titles for future discussions.

We will be discussing Death Comes to Pemberley by P. D. James.

Basic Email

Set up a free electronic webmail account and type and send email. Mouse and keyboard skills or completion of the Getting Acquainted with the Computer class required.

"One-on-One" Computer Tutoring

Come to Geasa-Marana Library for free weekly half-hour individualized basic computer tutoring in the following: using the mouse;basic internet use; basic Microsoft Word use; web-based email; navigating the library catalog.

Drop-in Job Help

Our Job Help Hub Instructor is available to answer questions you might have on a wide variety of job search topics. Topics include resume writing, online job searching, e-mail accounts, completing online job applications, interviewing, and basic computer skills.

An individual may sign up for a ½-hour one-on-one session during drop-in job help; stop in or call the library at 594-5255.

Preschool Storytime

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.
