Social Media Strategies for Non-Profits
Social Media has fundamentally altered how people interact, share, discuss and promote ideas, organizations and social causes. Every nonprofit should be using social media to raise critical funding and achieve the organizational mission. But how do you start?
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- How social media sites work
- How social media differs from traditional media
- Strategies to make the most of your social media presence on the major channels
- Who should manage these programs
- How much time it will take
- When to hire someone
- How to measure impact
By the end of this workshop, you will be ready to make social media work more effectively for your non-profit.
Presented by Tony Ford.

Read to a Dog
Children are invited to read to a Certified Therapy Dog. One of the favorite things for the dog to do is listen to children read lots of stories. Reading to a dog or other pet can help new and reluctant readers gain confidence, increase important reading skills, and develop a love of reading.
