Free GED Classes - Preparation and Tutoring

All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with their Adult Education Certifications, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes, which are held three days a week. Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Learn how to type and send emails, check your email and open attachments, attach your own files, and use your email to register at online sites. Mouse (pointing, clicking, and dragging) and keyboard experience or completion of the Computer Basics class required.

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer peroid of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Reading Partners brings adult volunteers and children together to share their love of reading, Our trained volunteers would love to read to you, or have you read to them, in the Eckstrom-Columbus Branch Library Children's area on Mondays from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Drop by for two hours or so, to crochet and/or knit with others. Enjoy the experience, the exchange, the companionship, the give-and-take! Bring something you've finished or are working on to share with others. Some beginner-level experience with knitting and crocheting skills is necessary. No formal instruction, but lots of helpful new friends! Drop-ins welcome.
