Discover Your Family Tree
October is not just for Halloween, it’s also Family History Month. Experienced genealogists from Pima County Genealogy Society (PCGS) will be leading sessions to help you start your own family tree. Bring a pen or pencil, and any information you already have about your family – even if it is just your name and your parents’ names. The Volunteers of PCGS will help you from there!

Computer Classes
Intermediate Microsoft Word
This course focuses on intermediate word processing skills like formatting longer documents, using clipart, using templates and styles, creating and editing tables and creating mail merges. This is a follow-up to Introduction to Microsoft Word. If you haven’t taken that course, you should at least be familiar with the basic features and functions of Microsoft Word.

Now Showing at Your Library! in October As Goes Janesville
As Goes Janesville by Brad Lichtenstein is a verité documentary that records two years in the lives of laid-off workers, business leaders, and elected officials all trying to reinvent their lives and their midwestern town amid the closure of their GM plant and America’s worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
This event is shown in partnership with Independent Television Service Community Cinema, PBS Independent Lens, Arizona Public Media, and Pima County Public Library's Now Showing at Your Library documentary film series.

Read to a Dog
Hey Kids! Read to Homer and have fun while improving your reading skills. Therapy dogs love to have books read to them. They never criticize your reading skills and will often give you a "kiss".

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.
