CreateIT - Think IT. Make IT. Do IT. New technology and media classes for teens. Want to make the next big viral video or learn how to make a short film? Then join the CreateIT class this fall at Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr. library to check out a variety of ways video is used to inform, entertain and persuade the public. You will have the opportunity to shoot and edit your own short videos and films with the help of career professionals! This free class runs for four weeks and starts Saturday, October 27, from 10am-12pm. If you can't make the first one, jump in anytime. Call 594-5200 for more information.

Never tried a computer before? In this course you will get to meet the computer, the keyboard and the mouse, and you will learn what they are and how to use them. No experience is necessary for you to take this relaxed, fun class.
Note: If you have never used a computer before, this is an excellent class to take before Introduction to Computers.

Free GED Preparation and Tutoring
At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.
Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel
This course teaches Microsoft Excel basics. Excel is a spreadsheet program that helps you manage mathematical information. It is frequently used in today’s workplace.
Once you begin to understand the basics, you will find it is an easy and fun application to use. For example, you can use Excel to budget your personal finances and keep track of your investments. You can also use Excel to follow loan repayments, compare different mortgages, create invoices and more.
Prior experience with the computer and an understanding of the Windows operating system is recommended.
This is part 1 of a 3 part class.
