Spring Seed Packing and Story Sharing with SeedBroadcast

Join us in celebrating spring, seeds and our growing community on the Main Library's Jácome Plaza, downtown.

Very special guests from SeedBroadcast will be sharing the day with us. Drop-in and help us prep seeds for spring and summer planting, make seed balls, share stories of your gardening adventures, or take a tour of SeedBroadcast's mobile seed broadcasting station (seedbroadcast.org/). We'll be out on the plaza from 10-3, drop-in anytime. Seed you there!

Desert Scavenger Hunt

It's fun and easy! Here's how it works: Pick up your Scavenger Hunt Passport at the Dusenberry-River Library service desk. Then take your family to Sabino Canyon and hunt for specific plants, animals, and other items listed in the passport. Bring your completed passport back to the library to claim your free book by April 30.

Complete the scavenger hunt anytime from April 15 to April 30.

Free parking at Sabino Canyon only on Sunday, April 21 when you display your library card on your dashboard!

Seeding the Future

Teen Iron Chef

Teams of 3 to 6 teens will compete to create a delicious healthy snack based on the ingredients provided. The food will be evaluated by judges based on appearance, taste, and creativity.
