Free GED Preparation and Tutoring

At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Pima County Property Tax Freezes, Exemptions and Deferrals

Representatives from the Pima County Assessor's Office will conduct interviews for qualified widows, widowers and disabled persons. There are certain qualifications that have to be met. Please contact the Assessor's Office at 243-7500 for more information and the documents you will need to bring.

Food Stamp Application Assistance

Let an employee from the Community Food Bank help you apply for SNAP (“food stamps” or the government nutrition assistance program), AHCCCS (health care) and TANF (cash assistance). To find out what documents that you will need, please call the Community Food Bank at 520-622-0525 extension 275.

Babytime

Designed for babies up to 18 months of age. At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.

ReadStrong: Level Up Your Reading @ Your Library

Drop-in on a ReadStrong session to level up your reading skills. Students in grades 4-12 and adults are welcome to attend these free sessions where the focus is on improving reading skills and reading for fun. Each session will be facilitated by a specially-trained tutor who will help developing readers to build confidence and get motivated all while in a relaxed setting.

Love Note Totes

Craft a heart-shaped tote out of paper plates and ribbon to hold your Valentine’s Day cards or give as a gift to someone special. All-ages welcome. We will craft until we run out of supplies.

Toddler Storytime

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Teen Lounge

Hang out and do fun activities at the Martha Cooper Teen Lounge. Teens 13 to 19 are welcome!
