Advanced English Language Conversation Class / Clases de Conversación de Inglés avanzadas

Practice your English conversation skills with trained, volunteer tutors from Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a program of Literacy Connects. Classes may include some reading and writing to stimulate discussion. Call 594-5305 to inquire.

Read to a Dog

Hey Kids! Read to Homer and have fun while improving your reading skills. Therapy dogs love to have books read to them. They never criticize your reading skills and will often give you a "kiss."

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

Teen Advocate Training

If you are 14 to 18 years old and would like to earn $100, this training is for you! Teens, learn about library resources and agree to make five presentations to your peers at school, church, youth group, etc., before the end of April 2013 to earn $100. It's a great way to increase your public speaking skills and gain valuable job experience too!
