Designed for babies up to 18 months of age. At storytime, children have the opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.

One-on-One Help

At this drop-in session for all ages, get one-on-one assistance with a wide range of questions, including topics such as Job Help, eReaders, computers, and using the library's online resources, all at your own pace!

Preschool Storytime

Come join us for stories, songs and fun! Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes.

Winter Break Crafternoons

Looking for ways to spend your time during winter break? Join us at the library for Crafternoons. All ages are invited to make fun and different crafts.

Meet the Computer

Never tried a computer before? In this course you will get to meet the computer, the keyboard and the mouse, and you will learn what they are and how to use them. No experience is necessary for you to take this relaxed, fun class.
Note: If you have never used a computer before, this is an excellent class to take before Introduction to Computers.

Wii Gaming

Get a head start on the weekend! Join friends to play Wii Sports, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Guitar Hero, and other fun games on our big-screen projector. All ages welcome!

First Saturday Book Club

Free Post-Holiday Swap

The library is partnering with FREECYCLE™ to present a Free Post-Holiday Swap. What should you do with that unused item that is just gathering dust in your home? Swap it! This is your chance to swap out things that are in good condition and trade with your neighbors. Please no large items like refrigerators or motorcycles.

Introduction to the Internet

Demystify the Internet! Learn how to navigate the Internet and use email to keep in touch with your friends and family. Not a lecture, this class is all hands-on learning with a high-speed Internet connection. You will open your own free email account to send and receive email with friends and relatives. Before taking this course, you should know basic computer skills like how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to turn the computer on and off and a general understanding of the Windows operating system.

In this course you will learn valuable word processing skills like creating, saving and retrieving documents; inserting and deleting text; formatting text; and using cut, copy and paste. Before you take this course, you should have some experience with the computer and the Windows operating system.

Knitting @ Your Library

Calling all Flowing Wells-area knitters and crocheters! Bring your hooks and needles to our informal weekly gathering. Meet fellow fiber fanatics, peruse the library's latest fiber-themed books, and find inspiration for your next project. For more information, call 594-5225.

Toddler Storytime

Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler Storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long. Storytime begins 1/2 hour before the library opens. This allows us to enjoy our time with the children. Staff will open the door.
