Presenter: The Parent Connection
Learn how playing with your child can promote healthy cognitive and emotional development. Our playgroup includes songs, games and play that promote language acquisition, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and intellectual growth. Children ages 8 months to 4 years and their parents or caregivers are invited to come play! A certified child development specialist from The Parent Connection will be available to answer questions.

Games Games Games!

Every Tuesday we offer video games, board games, and fun for all ages. Come see what we have, or you can bring a PS3 or Wii game of your own share. Want a retro experience? We have an old Xbox console to play on too.

Homework Help

Tutors available on site for all ages. Subjects include math, science, social studies and writing. Help available in Spanish on Wednesdays, subject to availability.

Also available: Connect to online Homework Help (2–11 pm every day except major holidays).

Toddler Storytime

At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning. Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers' short attention spans. Each Toddler storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long and followed by a craft

Create Club

Do you like crafts, games, books, and other fun activities? Do you have a creative itch you just can't scratch? Maybe you're just bored on early-out Wednesdays. If you're 7 to 13, join us for Create Club and release your wild imagination. All materials supplied.

Preschool Storytime

Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the activities are more complex. Children must be able to sit still for a longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Introduction to Microsoft Word

In this course you will learn valuable word processing skills like creating, saving and retrieving documents; inserting and deleting text; formatting text; and using cut, copy and paste. Before you take this course, you should have some experience with the computer and the Windows operating system.

Aprenda como escribir documentos en la computadora usando el programa llamado "Microsoft Word" el cual es una herramienta muy eficaz para crear documentos. Vamos a practicar como crear, guardar, y abrir documentos guardados; insertar y borrar texto; formato de texto; y usar cortar, copiar, y pegar texto.
