Introduction to Microsoft Excel

This course teaches Microsoft Excel basics. Excel is a spreadsheet program that helps you manage mathematical information. It is frequently used in today’s workplace. Once you begin to understand the basics, you will find it is an easy and fun application to use.

For example, you can use Excel to budget your personal finances and keep track of your investments. You can also use Excel to follow loan repayments, compare different mortgages, create invoices and more.

Prior experience with the computer and an understanding of the Windows operating system is recommended.

Free GED/HSE Preparation and Tutoring

All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Valencia Branch Library, 202 W. Valencia Rd. Registration is not required.

Come and read for fun to a licensed therapy dog. Reading to a dog creates a low stress environment for children who are learning or having difficulties learning to read. As the child reads aloud, the dog listens and enjoys the story and never corrects the child.
