Bilingual Family Storytime / Hora de Cuentos Familiar Bilingüe

Se presenta en español y en inglés. La hora de cuentos familiar bilingüe es una experiencia educativa en los dos idiomas para niños bilingües y monolingües de todas edades.

Introduction to Watercolor with the Drawing Studio

Take a leap into the world of watercolor painting in this 6-part series of classes from the Drawing Studio’s OATS program. Learn the basics of mark making with a brush, washes, and color mixing. Experiment, play, and express yourself.

Advanced English Language Conversation Class / Clases de Conversación de Inglés avanzadas

Practice your English conversation skills with trained, volunteer tutors from Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a program of Literacy Connects. Classes may include some reading and writing to stimulate discussion. Call 594-5420 to inquire.

UAMA Art Lectures at the Library

Join us for a series of art lectures (with visuals) presented by docents of the University of Arizona Museum of Art and Archive of Visual Art (UAMA), in partnership with Pima County Public Library.

What Happens When 'High Art' Marries Popular Culture? You Get Pop Art! presented by Frances Chen.

We will trace the evolution of Pop Art from its inception as an art movement in the 1950s to its powerful influence as an important cultural movement. Who are some notable Pop artists? David Hockney, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Wayne Thiebaud, and Andy Warhol, among others.
