Free GED/HSE Preparation and Tutoring

At this drop-in session, get help from our tutors to get started preparing for the GED/HSE at your own pace. All classes are taught by Pima County Public Library tutors with Adult Education Certification, and will be taught in English. Students ages 16 and older can attend classes.

Please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own child care arrangements for children under age 8.

Martha Cooper Branch Library, 1377 N. Catalina Ave. Registration is not required.

Come and read for fun to a licensed therapy dog. Reading to a dog creates a low stress environment for children who are learning or having difficulties learning to read. As the child reads aloud, the dog listens and enjoys the story and never corrects the child.

Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a program of Literacy Connects and the library are offering a free program to adults who want to learn how to speak, read, and write English.

Practice your English conversation skills with trained, volunteer tutors from Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a program of Literacy Connects. Classes may include some reading and writing to stimulate discussion.

Parents please note that children cannot attend these classes. Parents must make their own childcare arrangements for children under the age of 8. Call 520-594-5315 to inquire.
