The Revolutionary Optimists by Maren Grainger-Monsen and Nicole Newnham follows, over several years, Amlan Ganguly, attorney and social activist, and three of the children from the slums of Kolkata, India as they empower themselves, and as agents of change, overcome poverty and improve their neighborhoods.

Free Screenings of PBS films are made possible through a partnership with Independent Television Service Community Cinema, PBS Independent Lens, Arizona Public Media, and Pima County Public Library's Now Showing at Your Library documentary film series.

Amphi Neighborhood Action Mural Workshop

Bring your neighborhood to life! This mural will be designed and painted by a group of youth who will interview residents and dream up a design that will inspire people for generations to come. The mural will be painted on the north side of the Woods Library, becoming a community cultural landmark.
