"Brown Bag" Medication Review

Get a handle on your medications. Student pharmacists from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy will review your prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to ensure that they are appropriate and you understand how to correctly use them.

Pharmacy students will discuss four main points with you:

  • indication
  • effectiveness
  • safety
  • and adherence

At the end of the 15- to 20- minute review you will have an organized list of your prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, as well as a better understanding of your medicines and conditions. Please bring your medicine bottles to this event to ensure a complete review of everything you take.

Healthy Living: Managing Ongoing Health Conditions

Developed by Stanford University, this free workshop teaches adults and caregivers to live successfully with on-going health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, heart and lung disease, arthritis, and hypertension.

The workshop teaches management skills through interaction, goal-setting, and action planning.

The workshop consists of 6 sessions, meeting once a week for 2.5 hours. The program is administered by the Pima County Health Department. Space is limited, and registration is required prior to the first session. Participants are expected to attend every meeting.
