What is Southwest Books of the Year?

Southwest Books of the Year is our guide to all the books published during the year, both fiction and nonfiction, with a southwestern setting or subject.

Our panel of subject specialists review the books we receive and pick the ones they think are the best. Their choices are published in our annual publication, Southwest Books of the Year: Best Reading.

Their reviews are also available here on our website, along with a complete and annotated list of all the books we received for consideration this year.

To submit a book for consideration, please send it to Southwest Books of the Year, 6211 N. Camino Esquina, Tucson, AZ 85718. Books will be considered if they are set in the Southwest or are about a southwestern subject, and have been published during the current year. Reprints are not considered unless they are substantially changed from their original editions.
